PH Team Expects Tough Competition; Vies for Medal Finish in Rhythmic Gymnastics

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Philippine rhythmic gymnastics (RG) team is hoping to pull off an exemplary performance and haul medals for the country as their campaign in the rhythmic gymnastics event of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games kicks off here at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.

The team, composed of Jean Caluscusin, Reyna Jean Cornel, Daniela Reggie Dela Pisa, Andrea Mae Emperado, Katrina Lorenzo, Marian Nicolle Medina, AJ Melyar, Shieldannah Sabio, and Devina Sembrano, contends for the podium finish against gymnasts from participating countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The competition will commence on December 6, 10:00 a.m. featuring the qualification phase for the individual apparatus such as the hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon.
