PH Bags Bronze In Aero Gymnastics Event

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Philippines added another bronze medal in its haul as gymnasts Charmaine Dolar
clinched the third place finish in the individual women’s category of the aerobic gymnastics competition
of the 30th Southeast Asian Games here at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum, this city.
Dolar executed a dazzling routine in front of her hometown crowd and impressed the judges, obtaining a score of 18.800. Eventual gold medalist Thuy Vi Tran Ngoc of Vietnam and silver medalist Thailand’s Intakul Chawisa, though, displayed a better performance on their way to a higher scores of 21.200 and 20.325, respectively.
Dolar, however, failed to secure a podium finish with partner Carl Joshua Tangonan in the mixed pair category as they were outperformed by the aerobic gymnastics tandem from Vietnam (gold), Thailand (silver), and Malaysia (bronze).
Over at the trio category, the team of Christopher Daniel Quevedo, Lynette Ann Moreno, and Queenie Grace Briones fell short of landing the top three spot as they dropped to fourth place behind gold medalist Vietnam, 2nd placer Indonesia, and bronze finisher Thailand
Overall, the Philippines pulled three gold, five silver, and four bronze medals in gymnastics as the competition comes to conclusion.
